FLAMENCO TOURS

Flamenco is a music genre and a corresponding dance from the southern provinces of Spain. Characteristic of this form of music are the sometimes Arabic-like sounds, the exuberant musical decorations around the theme and the strong rhythm within a twelve-tone system.

Flamenco is considered part of the general Spanish culture and developed during the second half of the 19th century in the area that corresponds to the Andalusia region.

The music of the flamenco is usually not noted, but, like many folk music, is transmitted orally and by tradition to the next generation.
