Diego Rodríguez de Silva y Velázquez. The career of this illustrious Sevillian painter was spent mostly among the walls of the royal residences of the Habsburgs, something that made him a painter practically unknown internationally until the nineteenth century. Today we know that this Sevillian painter who moved to court seeking glory at the young age of 23, is one of the greatest geniuses of universal painting.
